She was predeceased by: her parents, Quincy Whittington and Georgia Wood Whittington of North Wilkesboro; and her husband Richard Speaks. She is survived by: her son Gregory (Melinda) of Lowell, NC; her grandchildren, Brittany, Justin and Gregory; her great grandchildren, Brody, Lola and Landon; her son Steve (Debby) of Mooresville, NC; her grandchildren, Sam and Mary; and her daughter Caryn.
