She is survived by: her children, Virginia Boney, Alfred Gibson and Valerie Ruffin; her siblings, Dianne Pitts (Ruel), Pepper Gayle McGuire, Clinton Smith, Rodney Smith (Sandra Jean) and Ben Sutton; and her pets, Penni, Pinki-Leigh, Charlie, Coco, Marci and Spanky. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
