He is survived by: his son Joshua Clay Weaver of Mooresville; his daughter-in-law Kimberly French of Mooresville; his son Frances Smith Weaver of Winston-Salem, NC; his sister Jan Weaver Smetana of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Lila Mae of Mooresville, NC., Austin Cole of Mooresville, NC. and Joshua Grant of Mooresville, NC.; and his son Josh.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the annual Bikes for Tikes holiday charity supported by his son Josh.
