He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Harrison Smith and Roy Leory Smith; and his aunts and uncles, Aaron Harrison, Clifton Maddox, Robert Smith, James Smith, Hoaesa Smith, Willie Maddox, Jr., Betty Caldwell, Addie James Gillian, Janie Maddox Wilson, Bertha Smith, Gloria Smith and Babe Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Chriszetta Patterson Smith; his daughters, Latasha D. Patterson (James) of Charlotte and Antonishia D. Patterson of Charlotte; his sisters, Marilyn Smith Grimes (Jay Lynn, Jr.) and Shelvie White (Reid); and his grandson Jayden Perkins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
