He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lamont and Peggy Sloop Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Gail Cowan Thompson; his sons, Michael Brian Thompson (Amanda) and Steven Eric Thompson (Asheli); his sister Debbie Jones (Mike Robinson); and his grandchildren, Hannah Allen (Brad), Macy Thompson, Anna Claire Thompson, Madelyn Thompson and Jacob Perez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
