It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lana Joyce Wendt (Mooresville, North Carolina), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Nuccio and Peggy Lepp Nuccio. She is survived by: her husband David N. Wendt; her children, Jennifer Gignac (Jeffrey Wilson), Trudy Wendt (James Grier), Michael Wendt and Leslie Wendt (Omar Kazzaz); her sister Linda Burke; her grandsons, Noah Jones, Omar and Sami Kazzaz; and her nephews, Steven and Daniel Burke.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
