She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Hines of Mooresville; her sons, Jason (Kristine) of Colorado Springs, CO, Ryan Hines (Kara) of Huntersville and Corby Hines of Occidental, CA; her siblings, Patricia Laub (Bernie), Susan Bennett (Harold), Louise Mariacher (Matt), Raymond Roldan and Joe Roldan; and her grandsons, Nolan, Nathaniel and Lucas.

“The world is a little dimmer with the loss of Mrs. Hines. She filled my childhood memories with love, support, and patience. Unlike Mr. Hines who used to beat me with a stick. Okay, not true. He is a perfect match for her. I was saddened by the news and wish the family all the best as you reflect and celebrate all she provided. I think of you all often whenever I drive down Reiter road and pass the old house, except for Jason. In these parts, some say he's just a myth.”
