She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bromsey and Florence Bromsey (Jones); and her siblings, Beverly Bromsey Mikula, Ann Bromsey Cline and Jack Bromsey.
She is survived by: her husband John Fletcher Murphy of Mooresville; her daughters, Sheila Johnson of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, Michelle Murphy of Mooresville and Sharon Bachner of Swampscott, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Mitchell Vazquez, John Murphy Bachner, Casey Bachner, Caitlin Bachner, Henry Johnson and Andrew Johnson; her sons-in-law, Ed Johnson and William Bachner; her niece Joanne Harris; and her nephew Steve Mikula (Mary Ann Mikula).
