It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Eason Barnes (Mooresville, North Carolina), born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Eason and Frances Whitley Eason; her brother Damon Eason; and her grandsons, Henry and Noah Barnes.
She is survived by: her aunt Clara; her daughter-in-law Dawn (Judy); her husband Mitchel; her sons, Phillip Michael Barnes and Jonathan Barnes (Dawn); her grandchildren, Jordan (Debbie), Isabelle, William, Gabriel, Luke and Jonah Barnes; and her brother Michael Dell Eason (Wanda) of Wilmington, NC.. She is also survived by The son's friends called her their second Mom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5950 Fairview Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210, or Carmel Christian Academy - Carmel Education Foundation in "Memory of Henry Barnes Memorial Program" will support CCS's Project Lighthouse mental health awareness club and counseling support for students.
