He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite "Peg" Goodman Crooks and Joseph "Joe" Conrad Crooks, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Barrier and Kennth E. Register, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Miller Crooks; his son Charles Conrad Crooks of Mooresville; his sister Joanne C. Barrier of Little River, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Riley, Penelope Morrison (Brian), Pamela Fleming, Paige Rogers and H. E. "Lee" Bouknight (Gina). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
