He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Newman and Mabel Newman; his wife Betty Clary Newman; his grandson Joshua Trace Newman; and his siblings, Murl Newman, Dick Newman, Madelone Blackburn, Betty Blanton and Katherine Self.
He is survived by: his siblings, Circus, Ruth Edleman and Sue Hoots; his sons, John Worth Newman, Jr. (Patricia), James Edward Newman (Jimmy) and Jeffrey Jon Newman (Tonya); his grandchildren, Katie Koch (Nathan), Brian Donahue, Jonathan Newman and Jessica Newman; and his great grandchild Madeleine Koch.
