He is survived by: his mother Nancy Jane Alexander McElhany; his wife Ann Johnson McElhany; his sons, John "Johnny" Taylor McElhany of Coralville and James "Jimmy" Russell McElhany of Mooresville; his sisters, Teresa Jane Merryman (Lynne) of Port Matilda, PA and Marsha Jane DiFrango (Ron) of Midlothian, VA; his nephew Michael Merryman; his nieces, Alicia Wrye (Josh), Cassie DiFrango and Caroline DiFrango; his great-niece Taylor Wrye; and his great-nephews, Landon Wrye and Levi Wrye.
