He was predeceased by: his father Carlie B. Pope; his son Greg "Snake" Pope; his son-in-law Tim Ashe; and his brother-in-law Jim Sherrill. He is survived by: his wife Millie Miller Pope; his daughter Kecia Pope Ashe; his stepchildren, Donna Lovill (Johnny) and Steven Dagenhart (Lisa); his daughter-in-law Debbie Pope; his siblings, Jeannie Pope Sherrill and Bill Pope (Betty); and his great grandchild Rope Wilder Ashe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
