He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Brown and Annie Hucks Brown; his wife Marilyn Boan Brown; his daughter Lezlie Keifer; and his siblings, Barbara "Bobbie" Ervin, Dorothy "Dot" Sexton, Ralph "Bud" Brown and David Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Dewayne Brown (Colleen) and Denise "Denny" Dawn Dickie; his granddaughter Nicole "Nikki" Peters; his sisters, Frances Sipes and Judy Cooke (Larry); and his sister-in-law Sheila Brown.
