He was predeceased by: his parents, Daan Coetsee and Hester Coetsee; and his brother Danie Coetsee. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Riaan Coetsee (Allison Whitaker) and Shaun Tannehill-Coetsee (Anissa Tannehill-Coetsee); and his siblings, Ina Lindenberg, Adri Hunt, Estee Coetsee, Maryna Esterhuizen, Koos and Jas Coetsee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and five aunts.
