He was predeceased by: his parents, James Samuel "Sam" and Nellie Sherrill Deaton. He is survived by: his wife Kay Brown Deaton; his children, Curt Deaton (Connie) and Heather White (Chris); his brother P. R. Deaton (Sherry); and his grandchildren, Camryn, Skylar, Levi, Piper, Dakota, Sam, Leon and Sampson.
