He was predeceased by: his mother Lillian Smith Meadows. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Raney Meadows; his children, James "Jimmy" Loftin Meadows Jr. (Melissa), Crystal Meadows Darden (Bob), John Fletcher Meadows (Paige) and Tonya Meadows Mays (Bart); his grandchildren, Aubrey Meadows (Jessie) and Aaron Meadows (Michelle); his great grandchild Rhett James Meadows; his grandson Jacob Mays (Alex); his great grandchildren, Watson James Mays and Loften Claire Mays; his grandchildren, Andrew Meadows (Sarah), Madison Darden, Kennedi Meadows Cobb (Joe), Kepli Meadows, Jaxon Mays, Jentri Meadows, Bentli Meadows and Brooklynn Mays; and his siblings, Whitey Meadows (Bobbie), Frank Meadows and Dovie Meadows Beaver. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (454 Fieldstone Rd, Mooresville, NC 28115). A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery (5080 Sherrills Ford Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147).
