He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelia P. Hardy and James Lee Hardy Sr.; and his sister Connie Mullins. He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Hardy; his children, Jennifer L. Ayers (Drew), James Lee Hardy III and Margaret "Meg" E. Hardy; his granddaughters, Aubrey Ayers and Caroline Ayers; and his siblings, Jane H. Brown and Robert Hardy.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Glenwood Memorial Park (273 Glenwood Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association (http://www.heart.org.) in Jae's memory.
