He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Wright and Gladys Wright; and his sister Ruby Strawser. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sparks Wright; his children, Kelly Long, Keith Wright and Jackie Amos; his grandchildren, John Long, Beth Wright, Billy Long, Nancy Amos and Thompson Amos; his great grandchildren, Luca Long and Rory Long; and his son-in-law Jeff Long.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel (7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or St Jude's Children's Hospital.
