It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Hayes Compton (Mooresville, North Carolina), who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jack Hayes may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jack Hayes touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everett Compton and Margret Cook Compton; and his siblings, Margret Pressley, Jean Kerr, Gaynell Hendren and Rogers Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Nelson Compton; and his children, Robert Compton (Debbie) and Jackie Maclay (Keith). He is also survived by three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
