She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby H. Barker; her siblings, Betty Kistler Black and Bobby Kistler; her grandson Jason Sherrill; and her parents, James Grey Kistler and Elsie Bost Kistler.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Howard Barker (Robin Carter Barker) of Landrum, SC, Becky Barker Ferguson of Mooresville, NC, Susan Barker Mercer of Mooresville, NC and James Wayne Barker (Lorraine Forbes Barker) of Concord, NC; her grandchildren, Joshua Sherrill (Helen), Jeremy Sherrill (Tammy), Buddy Francis, Claire Barker, Philip Barker, Ryan Barker, Caitlin Mercer, Christopher Mercer, Gavin Barker, Rachel Barker and Lydia Mercer; and her great grandchildren, Jacey Sherrill, Avery Kiste and Will Sammet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
