He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Charles and Beatrice Overcash Sproul; and his brothers, Robert, Reggie Grady and Donnie Sproul.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie Meadows Sproul; his sons, George Winston Sproul, Jr. (Julie), Brian Sproul (Gina) and Brandon Sproul (Charles Ashe); his grandchildren, Winston Seth, Mikayla, Spencer, Logan and Kenadi Sproul; his great grandchild Annabelle Rosalie Deneault; and his siblings, Lannie Sigmon (Carolyn) and Brenda Carpenter (Dave).
