He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen; his parents, Ann Long and George Long; and his brother Tommy. He is survived by: his children, Meghan (Ronnie), Matthew (Tracie) and Susan (Steve); his grandchildren, Rachel, Abbi, Sarah, Kieran and McKayla; his great grandchild Bryson; and his brother Brian.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (217 Brawley School Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Glenwood Memorial Park (273 Glenwood Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Iredell Council on Aging, where Dad attended a daily lunch program and made many friends.
