He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Duke and Marjorie Ella Luckey Sherrill; his siblings, Billy Sherrill (Peggy), Wade Sherrill and Carey Meacham (Bernie); and his brothers-in-law, Ben Wright, Carl Nixon and Phillip Jackson.
He is survived by: his daughter Angie (Eric Stroupe); his siblings, Donald Sherrill (Barbara) of Pawleys Island, SC, Steve Sherrill (Judy) of Hickory, Barbara Wright of Mooresville, Patricia Nixon of Mooresville and Cheryl Jackson; his sister-in-law Barbara Marshall Sherrill of Charlotte; and also Donna Gionet of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by 16 nieces/nephews and their spouses, 24 great-nieces/nephews and their spouses, 4 great-great-nieces/nephew.
