He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Solomon Watts and Fary May Wilson Watts; and his son-in-law James Mullins. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerry" Breadmont Jenkins; and his children, Joni Nathanson (Steve), Jami Halstead (Mark), Joie Mullins, Jennifer James (Scott) and Jeffrey Jenkins (Heather). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
