With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frank Powell Knox of Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Graham Watts Knox and Mary Elizabeth Purser Knox; his siblings, Hollis, James Knox and Hilda Ann Stutts; and his niece Jennie Brown.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Becky Deal; his nieces and nephews, Joe Knox (Robin), Mark Knox (Julie), Becky Willard (Harold), Lisa Carver (Bobby), Tracy Lentz (Scott), John Stutts and Lori Stutts; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeremy Knox, Holli Jo Wilkins, Joseph Knox, Brittany Wilhelm, Melody Sentelle, Drew Willard, Garth Willard, Jamie Brown, Jessie McConnell, Amber Wood, Josh Carver, Laura Rollings, Joe Lentz and J. C. Stutts.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home ((Hwy 150), 494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fair View United Methodist Church (1430 Mecklenburg Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28123). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations in Frank's memory, may be made to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28115 or Fair View United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 27, Mt. Mourne, NC 28123.

“Frank was a lovely person. His kindness was never ending. He loved my family dearly and we felt the same. I will never forget when he rode his tractor over to our house and took Tyler, who was about 6 at the time, on a ride. I will miss him.”
