He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank George Johns and Jane McCullough Johns; and his brother-in-law Tim Bower. He is survived by: his wife Shelly Gearhart Johns; his children, Lucas Johns (Jenn) and Rachel van Nes (Hubert); his sisters, Linda Bower and Lucy Newman (Wayne); and his grandsons, Mason, Sawyer, Jasper, Jack and Frank. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church (575 Brawley School Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117).
