She was predeceased by: her parents, James Archie and Ollie Mae Blackwelder Archie; her husband John Filmore Ratledge; her son John Filmore Ratledge, II; and her siblings, Lewis Archie, Tilden Archie, Robert Clifton "Bill" Archie, Elva Bass and Margaret Ratledge.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Watson (Jean) and Sandra Austin (Jim); and her siblings, Charles "Pete" Archie (Beverly), Gary Archie (Nancy) and Peggy Brookshire. She is also survived by ses 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 454 Fieldstone Rd, Mooresville, NC 28115.
