He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lewis Chester, Sr. and Maybel Kennerly Chester; and his sister Effie Overcash. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Edwards Chester; his sons, Lewis Steven Chester (Kathy) and Rickie D. Chester (Phoebe); and his grandchildren, Dana Yost (Eric), Travis Chester, Jason Chester (Brittany), Richie Chester (Cassie) and Eric Chester (Jennifer). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
