It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Brawley Lowder in Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Houston and George Whitfield Brawley, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Laurence Lowder; her daughter Leigh Scarborough Lowder (Michael Gregory Whitfield); her grandsons, Michael Gregory Whitfield, Jr. and Richard Lowder Whitfield; and her close friend Nancy Houston McClure of Wilson, NC. She is also survived by cousins, great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Vanderburg Methodist Church General Fund or to the Lowder Scholarship Fund at Vanderburg.
