He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Vernon and Eunice Davis Vernon; and his brothers-in-law, Randy Peeden and Doug Miller. He is survived by: his wife Terry Wells Vernon; his son Robert Edward Vernon (Starr); his siblings, Troy F. Vernon, Jr., Glenda Faye Peeden and Barbara Jean Miller; and his grandchildren, Hayden Raye Vernon and Sarah McKinnley Vernon.
