He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Russell Bonds and Julia Taylor Bonds; his brother Billy E. Bonds; his sister-in-law Joan Bonds; his sister June B. Moose; his brother-in-law Paul "Headman" Moose; and his daughter-in-law Etta Mae Bonds.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Roseman Bonds; and his sons, Russ Bonds of Rockwell, Eddie Bonds of Charlotte and Jeff Bonds of Cleveland, NC. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rehobeth United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 356 Terrell, NC 28682 or to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 92605.
