He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carl Prichard, Edith Payne, James and Lucille Upright. He is survived by: his parents, Sam Allen and Ann Prichard Upright; his siblings, Sandra Mooe, Allen Upright (Melody), Teddy Upright, Kathy Martin (William) and Joyce Ketchie (Mike); his brother-in-law Kevin Mooe; and his nieces and nephews, Dawn Linebarrier, Leigh Ann Kyles, Jonie Martin, Chris Martin, Ricky Ketchie, Ben Ketchie, Adam Upright, Casey Upright, Rusty Upright and Garrett Upright. He is also survived by 12 great nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Gordon's Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
