He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Curtis and Ola Lee Bowers (Smith); his wife Sandra Guinn Bowers; his children, David Curtis Bowers, Jr. (Kristi) and Roxanne Bowers Miller (Robert); his grandchildren, Marshall Bowers, Chloé Bowers, Sammy Miller (Ivy), Rory Miller, Nicole Nantz, Jacob Bowers and Jade Bowers; his great grandchild Kooper Miller; his brothers, Frankie Hartsell, Freddie Hartsell (Linda), Jimmy Hartsell (Elaine), Melvin Bowers and Roger Bowers; and his mother-in-law Gloria Elliott. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
