He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clyde Severance and Alice May Rothwell Severance; his wife Dorothy May Crane Severance; and his grandson Keith Severance. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Marie Schauseil (Terry), Charlene Spofford and John Michael Severance (Denise); his girlfriend Joyce Renegar; his sister Virginia Gagne; and his grandchildren, Bryce Schauseil, Autumn Schauseil, Michael Severance, Richard Spofford and Jonathan Spofford.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, NC.
