It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Bender Johnson of Mooresville, North Carolina, born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 22, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bender and Stella Bender; her husband Walter G. Johnson; her children, Judy Gordon, Arthur and Alan Johnson; and her sisters, Ilda Garen, Irene Wolfe, Zeta Hilberg, Eleanor "Ferp" Mavero, Betty "Sis" Parilli and Dorothy "Dot" Bosco.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Dyvig (LT); her grandchildren, Jessie, Justin Cook of Mooresville, NC, Cody Dyvig of Mooresville, NC, Jennifer, James Thomas of Whittier, NC, Michael Gordon of Badin, NC, Curtis Gordon, Matthew, Landon Thomas, Oliver and Claire Cook; and her sister Janet "Pooch" George of Rochester, PA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
