He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Archie and Ollie Mae Blackwelder Archie; his daughter Dawn Archie Swing; his siblings, Louis Archie (Teldon Archie), Bill Archie (Elva Archie Bass) and Faynell Ratledge (Margaret Ratledge); and his brothers-in-law, Roger Brookshire and Howard Holshouser.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Archie; his son Dean Archie; his grandson Jason Swing; his great grandchild Liza Jean Swing; his siblings, Peggy Archie Brookshire and Gary Archie (Nancy); his sister-in-law Peggy Holshouser; and also, August, Anna, Yvette, Yvonne and Roger Lambert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
