He was predeceased by: his father Larry Wayne Nelms. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean Vandergrift Nelms; his wife Emily Nelms; his sons, Lucas and Sam Nelms; and his sisters, Regina Lackey, Debra Smith (Dan) and Tammy Mullins (Tony).
