With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Fortner of Mooresville, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Belton Byers and Alva Louise Cornelius Byers; her son Craig Fortner; and her brother Bob Byers II. She is survived by: her husband Charles Fortner; her daughters, Barbara Saltz (Cam) and Alison Fortner; her granddaughters, Lauren Wolfe (Mars), Amanda Onley (Chris) and Taylor Egerton (Drew); her great grandchildren, Anders Wolfe, Bentley and Davis Onley; her nephew Bobby Byers; her niece Cathy Hefner; and her pet Peanut.
