In the sacred silence of farewell, Betty is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Collins and Carmel Brannon Collins; and her brother Jack Collins. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Thurman Dobey; her sister Jane Rogers; her sister-in-law Vonnie Collins; her niece Lisa Kirk; and her nephews, Lee Collins and Phillip Collins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home ((Hwy 150), 494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
