She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Augustus "Gus" and Alma Jones Childers; her husbands, William and Charles Grady Oates; her stepson John; and her brothers, James, Walter, Billy, Ralph, Bobby and Ray.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Voyles (Jimmy); her siblings, Christine Williams, Eugene Childers (Rachel) and Herman Childers; and her grandchildren, Michele and Christopher Voyles. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
