She was predeceased by: her father John Wesley Cheek; her husbands, Howard Evans and James Maas; and her brothers, Clarence Cheek and Joe Bill Cheek.

She is survived by: her daughter Denise Inman (John) of Mooresville; her sisters, Claire Edwards, Doris Evans and Marie Niemiec; her sister-in-law Janet; her grandchildren, Justin Inman (Catelyn), Shaun Inman (Chelsea) and Nathan Inman; and her great grandchildren, Cadeon, Laycie and Max. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
