With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Aliene Benfield (Mooresville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 7, 2018 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Benfield; her siblings, Artie Mae Marlowe, Julie Smith, Nina Cole, George Curtis, Ray Curtis and Sevonne Curtis; and her stepchildren, Rudy Benfield and Kelly Benfield.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Buckner (Mike), Gary Witherspoon (Cathy) and Rickey Witherspoon (Carol); her stepchildren, Kenny Benfield (Ann), Barry Benfield (Ann), Gloria Wilhelm, Beverly Walker and Sissy "Michelle" Benfield; and her sister Lavone Payne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, and 13 step great grandchildren.
