He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ferne Ramsey Alston and Joseph Alston; his wife Laura Alston; his daughter Ariel; and his sister Joretta Alston (Kelvin Penny). He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
