He is survived by: his wife Pamela Gay; his children, Kindra McKinney (Justin) of Ellenboro, Scott Gay of Bloomington, Brandon Gay of Ellenboro, James Gay (Miranda) of Ellenboro and Marcus Gay of Mooresboro; his father-in-law John "J. C."; his brothers, Mike Gay (Lisa) of Spruce Pine, NC., Tommy Gay of Spruce Pine, NC. and Harry Gay (Kelly) of Spruce Pine, NC.; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Garrison, Olivia and Jamison Wise Gay.
