He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde A. Greene and Nannie Scoggins Greene; and his siblings, Betty Ngar, Barbara Reid and Tony Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Greene; and his children, Scott Mathis (Robin) of Forest City, Anita Yelton (Eric) of Forest City and Brad Mathis (Julia) of Caroleen. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Wesleyan Church of Forest City (700 S Church St, Forest City, NC 28043). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
