He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Daugherty; his sister Anita Tinker; and his grandchildren, Curtis Honeycutt and Brittany Hollifield. He is survived by: his wife Mary Daugherty; his children, Lisa Honeycutt (Jason) of Rutherfordton and Michael Daugherty, Jr. (Stephanie) of Ellenboro; his sister Diane Rockwell (Don) of Raleigh; his stepbrother Joe Graham of Michigan; and his grandchildren, Sarah Honeycutt, R. J. Honeycutt, Christian Daugherty, Katrina Roberts and Zack Moore. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
