He is survived by: his wife Renee Street Smith; his sons, Allan Newton (Penny) of Cherryville, Gary Jenkins (Jennifer) of Shelby, Eddie Smith of Shelby, Brian Smith (Margot) of Boiling Springs, NC and Steven Smith of Shelby; his brother Richard Smith (Miriam) of Polkville; and his friends, Joe Stamper, Larry and Pat Pledger.
