He is survived by: his wife Kathy Upton; his sons, Jimmy Ray Upton, Jr. (Angie) of Union Mills, Todd Newton of Mooresboro, Jason Upton (Jenny) of Mooresboro and Chad Newton (Lynn) of Mooresboro; and his brothers, Floyd Upton of Spindale and Mike Upton (Renee) of Rutherfordton.
