He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther Porter and Ora Biggerstaff Porter; his grandson Skyler Deaton; and his brother Richard Porter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Luckadoo Porter; his children, Darren Porter (Crissie) of Gaffney, SC and Lisa Hendrick (Terry) of Shelby; his grandchildren, Blake Deaton, Baylee Hendrick and Dawson Porter; his great grandchild Jurnee Deaton; and his sisters, Diann Hoppes, Shirley Hoppes, Sandra Howard and Brenda Newton.
